Pray Jeremiah 29:7, "...seek the peace and prosperity of the city ...Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper." Father, make Yakima a peaceful place so it will be a safe refuge for all of us. Cause Yakima to be a city of safety and prosperity.

Pray Isaiah 11:2, "The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him - the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord - and he will delight in the fear of the Lord."

Pray 1 Timothy 2:1-2 ,"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness."

Father, We pray that our city leaders govern with a servant's heart - knowing they represent the citizens of Yakima. Let honesty and integrity be the standard for every decision they make. Father, give them knowledge and understanding to know what is right and good for our city. Give them your insight to know how to serve the citizens of Yakima.

Father, oversee the operations of our Social Services. Help the officials make wise decisions based on solid family values. Let them be rooted and grounded in the fear of the Lord.
