The purpose for the "Serving Yakima Valley" site is to network and promote the community within the community ,the "followers of Jesus Christ".

We believe that we "the church" are much bigger than most perceive and can have a greater impact on our community if we become aware of each other and network our efforts to affect the whole.

It has been on our hearts for years to see the body of Christ in our valley come together. In the past, we thought that meant that we would gather in one location and look alike. Now our vision is to bring the Christian community together on a single website so that all the diverse ministries, Christian leaders, Christian businesses and individual believers in our valley become visible to each other and to our community

"The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed; nor will they say 'Lo, here it is!' or 'There!' for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.".... (Luke 17:20,21) Our Purpose: To extend the presence of the Kingdom of God in the Yakima Valley through indivuduals and groups working together with our community leaders in our homes, schools, businesses, and ministries under the lordship of Christ Jesus. Our Vision: To serve the whole valley by the whole church living and working together to accomplish God's plan of establishing His kindgom on the earth according to Luke 11:2. Our Values.... God’s Word: We affirm II Timothy 3:16 and submit to the teachings of the Bible. Prayer: We commit ourselves to prayer according to John 15:7. Relationships: We value our relationships with one another according to John 13:34 The Family: We affirm the value that God places on Christ-centered homes according to Ephesians 5:22-6:3 Interdependence: We believe that working together accomplishes more for the Kingdom according to I Corinthians 12 & 14. Equipping: In seeking to fulfill II Timothy 2:15, we provide growth opportunities for Christian leaders. Serving: Wanting to follow the example of Jesus we’re committed to serve according to Mark 10:45. The Local Church: We believe that God will use healthy local churches to reach the Yakima Valley for Christ. Evangelism: We understand that lost people matter to God and therefore to us according to Luke 15:1-10 Our Guiding Principles: We focus on the absolutes of Holy Scripture. (see our beliefs) We Promote the ministry of Christ and His Word. We appreciate one another’s respected interpretations of scripture beyond our primary doctrine. We Practice supportive speech and actions toward others.
